 | | Name Monetizer December 2007 - Issue #29 | | I've been dealing with a family medical crisis, so this issue is smaller than usual. Look for a full issue again in January, and up-to-date info at ParkQuick.com. There were a few interesting developments in domain parking and monetization in November. The biggest was probably the complete makeover at Domain Sponsor. News from the Parking Services Domain Sponsor has revamped their interface. According to the service, the new site features "powerful new reporting and analytics capability. Detailed reports on the domain and portfolio level help you better understand and analyze your overall performance." Available reports include: "Smart custom reports give you greater control of your analytics. Create, save, and run customized reports as often as you need, on the fly or at set intervals. Trends report – A visual report designed for you to quickly view and monitor trends across portfolios. Identify and analyze trends through a detailed chart display of selected metrics over a custom date range. Enhanced account management tools. Domain detail page – Gives you a complete overview of a domain's performance data, landing page features, and keywords. Advanced keyword inclusion and blocking gives you more control over keywords displayed on your domains. Include or block keywords based on languages supported by landing pages. Direct access to your Account Manager and the Domain Sponsor support team through an integrated messaging system." Parked.com continues to allow AdWords arbitrage and similar paid traffic. It would be easy do lose money doing this if you are not careful, but some people seem to be making money this way. Sedo has been focusing on their domain auctions for the past few weeks. They did offer a promo in November that paid bonuses to people who increased their parking income over the previous month. DOMAINfest Global is scheduled for the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel from January 21-23, 2008. Qualified Domain Sponsor publishers are eligible for registration rebates. T.R.A.F.F.I.C. will be in Las Vegas again in February. As usual, it is "by invitation only" but it is not too hard to get an invitation (unless you have done something to anger one of the producers). I'll be there this year (unless I do something to anger one of the producers). Sedo vs. TrafficZ Resolved! In the last issue I summarized a post on Jay Westerdal's DomainTools Blog concerning a disagreement between Sedo and TrafficZ over the domain TrafficZ.de. The problem has been resolved, and Sedo has transferred the domain to TrafficZ. Tim Schumacher pointed out that a transfer of the domain had already been planned when I sent the last newsletter.
